Instructor Bio

Dr. Mike Mylrea is an AI Architect and Technical Fellow at Arctic Wolf, a global security company. He is a Research Innovation Fellow at Google Cloud and a Fellow at the University of Miami’s Institute of Data Science and Computing. He is a sought-after advisor to industry and government (DARPA, ARPA, DOE National labs). Previously, as Senior Technical leader he built AI/ML solutions used globally in energy, health care & life science, aviation and defense sectors. His technical contributions include 100+ publications, +25 patents, and several prestigious scientific awards. His work has influenced standards and regulations through agencies like DOE, DOD, NIST, IEEE, APEC, NATO, and the National Academy of Sciences. He frequently delivers keynotes, trainings, and briefs to senior leaders. He has a PhD in AI from CTU focused on improving AI security and performance; another Doctorate in Cybersecurity focused on Human Factors gained as an NSF CyberCorps Scholar at GWU and several graduate and bachelor’s degrees. He is a former U.S. Fulbright Scholar and has held research positions at Harvard, Tufts and MIT.
